Delete Your FireThings Account
Last updated: 21 May 2026
FireThings is committed to giving you control over your data. This page explains how to delete your FireThings account and what happens to your data when you do.
How to delete your account
The fastest way to delete your account is from within the app:
- Open FireThings and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
If you no longer have access to the app, email us at support@firethings.co.uk from the email address associated with your account and request account deletion. We will action your request within 30 days.
What data is deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your user profile (name, email, phone number, address)
- All jobsheets, invoices, quotes, templates, and asset records you created
- All photos, floor plans, wiring diagrams, and branding logos you uploaded
- Customer and site records you entered (including site information)
- Your PDF branding configuration
- Your analytics and crash report data tied to your account
- Your authentication credentials
What data is retained
We retain the following data after account deletion, as required by law:
- Subscription and billing records (purchase history, transaction IDs) are retained for 7 years to comply with UK tax and accounting law (HMRC).
- Anonymous aggregated analytics with no personal identifiers may be retained to improve the service.
- Company data — if you were a member of a company, shared company data (sites, customers, dispatched jobs, assets) is retained for other company members. Your company member record is deactivated rather than deleted.
Data deletion timeline
Most data is deleted immediately when you delete your account. Backup copies held by our infrastructure providers (Google Firebase) are purged within 30 days.
